The presentation of albums can be greatly enhanced by the use of Album Sub-Headers, Disk Sub-Headers, and Track Group Headers. These can be input in the Muso database (edit page), or can be imported by mapping custom tags to the corresponding database fields. ===Album Sub-Headers=== An album sub-header is an additional piece of text you can have presented after the album title. It is commonly used to distinguish between different releases of the same album, and means you do not have to append it to the album title. The album sub-header will not be displayed with the album name on the gallery of albums but will be shown on the popup, and on the album and artist detail pages. An album sub-header only needs to be defined on the first track of the album. ===Disc Sub-Headers=== A disc sub-header allows you to present a sub-title for a single disc - it only needs to be defined on the first track of the disc. ===Track Group Headers=== A track group header can be used to group tracks under a header. A track group header must be assigned to a set of consecutive tracks in order for them to be properly grouped. The total time of the group is displayed, and a context menu is available on the header to play/enqueue the group of tracks in isolation. If a track group has an artist/composer different to the album's titled artist (or the album is a compilation), it will display as a prefix to the group header. Similarly, if the track group has contributors different to the album these will be displayed after the group header. NB. If a track group does not have a common set of performers the above behaviour can be suppressed by prefixing the track group header with an = character, which is stripped when the subheader is output (each track in the group will have the artists/contributors shown). For example: <gallery> File:headingnoartist1.JPG|Track Group unrelated to artist File:headingnoartist2.JPG|How this is achieved </gallery> ===Track Group Subheaders=== While in the track database there is only one field for track group heading ("GroupHeader"), this can be used to provide two levels of heading (heading and subheading) by separating the two levels with a special :: delimiter. This is useful on classical albums where track group heading is already used to group works, but a further sub-division is required to groups acts or scenes within each work. <gallery> File:groupsubheader1.JPG|Album with track Group Headers & Sub-Headers File:groupsubheader2.JPG|How this is achieved </gallery> Note that group operations (eg. queuing the group) are only available at track group header level - subheaders are only used as a visual sub-grouping. ===Editing Group Headers=== Note: The database edit page has a shortcut for editing group headers. If you select multiple track rows which have a common track title prefix or common group heading, it will open up an edit box below the grid to allow a quick-edit:
