What's up with the filter?

Hi Jez,

In the past, clicking in the filter box in the left hand would show a list of genres, classical periods, etc and then apply a filter on that choice.

This currently seems to not be working - I don't get the list of genres, etc.

Was this an intended change or bug? I will definitely miss this if has been removed. I fine it much more convenient than using the hierarchy view.

Cheers.

No, seems to be working for me. Perhaps send me a diagnostic log, maybe there's an error captured there.

Seems the problem I'm seeing is related to pinning of the side panel.

If Muso is started with the panel pinned open, the filter works correctly and I see the list of genres, periods, etc.
However, if I then un-pin to collapse the panel, or if the program is started with the panel collapsed, the filter lists do not appear.

Checked on two different machine and the behaviour is the same.
I'm happy to send a log if you still can't reproduce.

Cheers - and thanks for the quick response as usual.

FWIW, I'm finding exactly the same issue. It needs to open with panel fixed to work.

Yes I'm working on a fix, but I'm losing the yellow preset window since it was not fully scalable to any number of years or genres (it only showed the genres with the most number of albums). So I'm replacing the yellow filter presets window with a combo-box selection for the presets, which will include all genres, and opens up the possibility for more presets (like artists).
