flac to wav conversion

Post by antonellocaroli »

hi,
in options> music player
there is the possibility to copy the files to a specific folder.

It would be a further option? that in addition to copy files converts them to wav?

flac to wav

and maybe that also functions for LMS?

thx

just curious what you're trying to accomplish? there are many converters out there that are good which good do this for you.

No plans to do on-the-fly conversion, I don't see the benefit really.

The option to copy the files to a specific folder was only for HQPlayer, and is so that the media is served from a RAMdisk rather than the traditional disk of the source material - I think the theory is that this is smoother and quieter (though I'm not an HQlayer user so can't appreciate the benefits first hand).

Muso now does on the fly conversion of ALAC files to HQPlayer (as natively it has no support for ALAC), so could consider this request again in light of that - but could you justify why it's needed? HQPlayer can play flac.
