If you think this is a recent problem, you could uninstall and re-install an older version, eg:
http://klarita.net/musoSetup_2329_64.msi
http://klarita.net/musoSetup_2328_64.msi
http://klarita.net/musoSetup_2327_64.msi
http://klarita.net/musoSetup_2326_64.msi
(etc)
You won't lose your database by uninstalling. It may help the analysis to know if this affects it.
Memory Leak?
Re: Memory Leak?
True enough I'm using W8.1 - Windows 7 shouldn't be significantly different though.MDE wrote:Hmm. I had similar problems when I used Vista, but subsequently W8.1 and W10 have been much better. I'm still on Muso 2.3.29 though.
Re: Memory Leak?
Yeah, in the past I've never seen it memory use go above a few hundred MB, which is why I assumed it was a problem with the new release.
Changing views doesn't seem to influence this - I had left it on the current album page put browsing around hasn't stopped it.
I'm wondering if it's related to LastFM? I'll restart Muso and observe what happens....

Re: Memory Leak?
OK.
I've started a fresh instance of Muso and memory use was been stable for a while at around 450MB, despite moving between album browser, now playing and album details pages.
Clicked on a LasfFM artist link, let the page load and then went straight back to Muso and the memory is now steadily creeping upwards again. So my hunch looks like it may be right with LastFM being the trigger for the problem.

Re: Memory Leak?
A-ha - well done, that would have been hard for me to track down. For now try clicking on the last.fm logo rather than the "read more on last.fm" link - since that will open the link in your default browser externally, rather than inside Muso. I'll see if I can stop the memory growing if you move off the last.fm page inside Muso next version.RichG wrote:OK.

Re: Memory Leak?
I notice the last.fm pages now say "You're viewing a beta version of the new last.fm website" - so I hope this problem is temporary!
(I've left feedback that they have a memory leak!)

Re: Memory Leak?
I've just done a quick build 02 for version 2.3.30 which should help a bit - at least it won't stop the memory usage going up while you're on a last.fm beta page inside Muso, but once you back out of it or navigate elsewhere the memory should be reclaimed.
Re: Memory Leak?
Thanks Jez. That'll definitely help until LastFM pull there finger out.
