Minor Bug / Comments on 1.5.34 Visuals

Post by RichG »

Hi Jeremy,

Screen shot of Album View at 1920 x 1080 resolution default dark theme at normal zoom (sorry for big size):

Image

You will see the minor issue with the clash of group and track-1 time values overlaying each other. This is only occurring when the group title and composer/artist are shown together.

Some comments:-

1 - Why the horizontal scroll bar? This seems to appear now regardless if it is needed or not.

2 - The third column is hit or miss. Sometimes it comes up like shown - at other times the LastFM / Amazon info appears below the track list as before.

3 - The Amazon Track Listing is horrible (particularly bad in this case - the shot is showing less than half the list). Could this be made optional?

4 - Would still like to see the left column / cover art bigger and have some more room for the track listing too (to avoid line wrapping).

Cheers.

1. I fixed this in build 01 already - I think
2. It only shows the 3rd column when the 2nd can't fit in the height of the browser
3. You can currently set the Amazon server to None - it's never good for matching a classical album accurately.
4. Maybe, in the future.

Will look into the time overlap.

Think I've fixed the duration overlap bug now in build 02.
And I have made it not bother with Amazon album lookups for classical albums (in specialised classical mode) - Amazon very rarely finds the correct classical album so the information embedded in the page is invariably worthless.

Brilliant - thanks. I agree that removing the title look up for classical is a good idea.

Cheers.
