Hmm, try new version 1.5.31 but this time do not start iTunes before Muso. I've changed it so that it offers iTunes as a player (if you have configured Muso to look for it) even when iTunes isn't running. When and if it connects to the iTunes API it should auto-start iTunes, maybe that will have better luck. Please report back.

Saw you had made that change, so anticipated this and downloaded 1.5.31. It started iTunes, hung for a while, then worked. Is it best to continue to start iTunes like this or should it be OK now?

I don't know, for me it works both ways.

It only seems to work if I let Muso start iTunes.

I'm not sure why this is - I think it's more likely a bug in iTunes than Muso. Is it an acceptable workaround to let Muso start iTunes?
