Muso with Kodi

Post by oyvindo »

Hi,
I am so happy with Muso. It has the best UI of all apps out there for Music playback! :D
Lately, I began working with Kodi on a QNAP NAS (After discarding Plex, JRiver and Emby), and I wanted to be able to control playback in Kodi from Muso.
First I tried using Philippe's DLNA Bridge PlugIn for LMS. It works, but not very well. Especially annoying that DLNA clients are not able to pick up CoverArt from a password protected LMS. And I haven't found a better way to safeguard LMS when exposed remotely.
After searching a lot and scratching my head even more, I finally stumbled across an AddOn for Kodi named XSqueeze. It's a very good looking UI and fully controllable from LMS and consequently also from Muso.
One thing in particular I like about XSqueeze is its ability to play artist slideshows during playback which it picks off the internet in the background.

So, now I have the best combination one can dream of.
Thank you so much for the great work with Muso which gets better and better for every release.

Rgds
