Copying database

In a few months I'm exhibiting my gear at a hi-fi show and taking Muso with me. I have all my flacs on a PC running LMS and this streams to my Squeezebox. I control it all with Muso running on my laptop. I really don't want to take a laptop and PC to the exhibition and last year I copied all the flacs to an external hard disk plugged into the laptop and re-imported the whole lot into Muso.
The trouble with that was I lost all my lyrics and when I returned home it was quite an effort to get everything back working as it should. I'm planning to have a large monitor at the front of the room mirroring what's on the laptop screen, so showing playlist, lyrics, album artwork etc.
What I really want to know is which files to copy from my PC running LMS to my laptop running Muso (and LMS) so I can carry the database files, lyrics and everything, so the switch is painless. :D
Thanks in advance.

That's exciting, what hifi show is it?

Is muso on the laptop now that you want to take to the show?

If LMS is running on the PC now, where will it be running at the show, directly on the laptop?

If it's the same laptop used for the front end you shouldn't have to re-import, just changing the configuration on the LMS configuration page should be enough:
Capture.PNG
i.e. the host name and the paths. If you can show me the settings you have now I can probably help.

It's the Kegworth show 17 March. No web page yet, but details are on the Wigwam hi-fi forum.
Yes, Muso is on the laptop, LMS on the PC. I want to run everything on the laptop (with external drive) without losing all my hard earned data/lyrics/album art.

So when you have LMS running on the laptop too just change the host name to localhost. Then change the Muso folder paths to whatever the prefix is correct for the external hard disk, assuming that you'll be keeping separate FLAC and mp3 top-level folders.

Thanks. That's great. I'll try it in plenty of time before the show. And once LMS is installed, I don't need any LMS files copied from the PC?

I don't believe so, but I've not tried this so can't say for sure.

OK. Cheers. Whatever the outcome, I'll post here in case there's a 1 in a million chance someone else wants to do the same. :)

Just an update on this. The transition was very simple, exactly as described above. Installed LMS on the laptop. Attached usb hard disk containing a copy of all the flac and mp3 files. Host name in Muso to localhost, and it all worked as it should.
The exhibition at Kegworth is this coming weekend. https://www.thehifishow.com/
