Native sample rate

Post by bibo01 »

Perhaps it would be good to have source material's native sample rate, for example in the main flag describing an album "FLAC 16/44.1".
It would be good to have it in Hierarchy too, not just file types. For example, I can select FLAC and have subcategories for 16/44.1, 24/48, 24/88.2, 24/96... Same thing for DSF too: 2.8GHz, 5.6...

Think it does show the sample rate already when not the norm (44.1KHz).

Then I must be blind. Could you please tell me where and how?
Can I view/order tracks by sample rate?

It's in the album info (top right of album view and also at the bottom of the album hover info):
Capture.PNG
Capture.PNG (4.89 KiB) Viewed 6540 times
But no, you cannot browse by sample rate, it's only an album display feature. Though you can order the database view by sample rate (it only stores a value if it's not the norm also).

BTW: Is bitrate meaningful for FLAC and other lossless formats?

Now I see!
I have no sample rate after FLAC, only MBs, even for HR albums.
Is it an option I have overlooked?
May it depend by my IE v9?

IMHO, bit rate is not too important, sample rate is.
I am sure there are people who want to see how many albums they have at any specific sample rate different from 16/44.

This is what I get in album view on the top right for a 24/96 album.

It seems to me pretty limited compared to yours. :?

How did you import this album into Muso?

Import Quick Scan, like all the others.
Importing from a specific folder has the same outcome.
I also tried a Deep Scan - same outcome.

Ah - it seems this info is missing from a file/folder scan, it's only populated by a synch with LMS currently. I'll look to add this next version.
