Re: Something odd about track count

If LMS treats multi-disc sets numbered using the disc number field the same as it does when including the disc number in the track then that would be a good idea. However in my case the horses have already left the barn and everything works fine so no to change at the moment. Thanks for the suggesti...

Something odd about track count

I just recently noticed something odd about how Muso displays the track count for an album. Let me try to explain. When Muso is in album browser as well as on an album page there is a track count for the each album given which will either give the total track count, as in "17 tracks", or i...

Re: MUSO 2.6 cannot be "killed"

Thanks! I changed the power setting so that "Fast startup" is now disabled, since the computer boots from a SSD I don't think that this will have much of an impact. I will let you know how things work out next time the MUSO hangs and I need to reboot.

Re: MUSO 2.6 cannot be "killed"

UPDATE: Well I was finally able to "kill" the MUSO process! Here is what I did: 1) I completely powered off the laptop on which MUSO could not be killed 2) I completely powered off the computer on which LMS runs, in other words LMS was shut down and not running 3) I completely powered off ...

Re: MUSO 2.6 cannot be "killed"

I'm guessing that since the computer is a laptop for some reason the battery is not fully disconnecting when the computer is powered off. Unfortunately on this machine the battery is not that easy to remove and requires disassembling the computer, which I am not prepared to do. I have left the compu...

Re: MUSO 2.6 cannot be "killed"

MUSO is NOT set to auto start or to run at start up and I have verified this using Task Manager.

The computer has been fully shut down and not set to either sleep or hibernate.

I am more than capable of solving most PC issues but this one has me stumped, which why I'm asking you.

MUSO 2.6 cannot be "killed"

Okay here's what happened: Background info: the instance of MUSO 2.6 described below is running an Acer Aspire laptop, which is running a 64 bit version of Windows 10 I added some music to my LMS music library and did a successful rescan, I then tried to do a full import of LMS and which time MUSO c...

Re: Muso versus Roon

Check out the review's comments section. I commented on the whole sound quality nonsense under "Ralph Pantuso". The reviewer's answer is the classic audiophile "well that's what I heard" mumbo jumbo, which is completely meaningless. A music server should just simply "serve&q...

Re: Muso versus Roon

I completely agree - the line between Muso and "professional" software is very, very thin and often nonexistent. I tend to keep my file tags to a minimum and therefore many of muso's various sorting abilities go used but less about muso and more about file tags. One of the things I don't l...

Re: Muso versus Roon

Don't get me wrong - I love Muso and use it daily plus for the price it can't be beat. In fact I strongly suspect that Roon's high price is the result of both the "professional" nature of the software and the various licensing fees needed to access the online metadata. That said, as far as...
